Therapists will need to provide:
• two references – at least one of which must be from a professional colleague
• a copy of a current professional indemnity insurance certificate
• evidence of membership of a relevant professional organisation
• brief biography for the website
Minimum rental of 8 hours per month, payable per calendar month in advance (the 8 hours can be taken at any day/time during the month).
Extra hours (above the minimum rental) available on ad hoc basis subject to availability at an extra 50p/hour on top of the hourly rate (minimum of 30 mintue bookings). Costs £11 per hour for yoga studio.
Ad hoc room rentals are available by special arrangement only at a rate of £10/hour, subject to availability.
The clinic is also suitable and available for running courses and training events.

PENNY PRICE ACADEMY ASSOCIATE DIPLOMA IN CLINICAL AROMATHERAPY
As a satellite training school for the Penny Price Academy, Julia Fearon is now teaching this IFPA accredited aromatherapy diploma.
Taught over four five-day and one four-day modules (totalling 20 days in-house study) it can be undertaken in a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 48 months.
Module 1 includes:
- Aromatherapy massage, its principles and benefits
- The properties and effects of 12 of the most popular essential oils
- Methods of extraction, storage and blending and the use of carrier oils
- History of aromatherapy and massage together with the philosophy of holistic healing
- Introduction to botany, plant cell function and photosynthesis
- 10 case studies and 5 essays should be completed before module 2.
Module 2 includes:
- Comprehensive appreciation of body analysis for assessment of clients, selecting and blending essential oils for personal treatment plan
- Choosing oils, creams & lotions used in aromatherapy treatment of specific ailments and conditions
- Extended massage principles are demonstrated and practiced thoroughly
- Introduction to plant families, therapeutic and physical properties of essential oils and their pharmacological effects on the body
- Properties and effects of 15 more essential oils
- Introduction to hydrolats
- 15 case studies and 5 essays should be completed before module 3.
Module 3 includes:
- Specific techniques in massage including foot reflex massage
- Information on plant families & essential oils is expanded
- Organic chemistry & essential oil components awareness
- Toxicity, essential oil purity and safety
- 15 carrier oils are discussed in depth
- Allergy and substance sensitivity
- The properties and effects of 15 more essential oils
- 10 case studies and 5 essays should be completed before module 4.
Module 4 includes:
- Differences between plant medicine and orthodox medicine
- Comprehensive study of common ailments, including those arising from care of the older person, pregnancy, children, depression, special needs and massage with cancer patients
- Olfaction and its psychosomatic effects
- The properties and effects of 12 more essential oils
- Techniques for neck and shoulder massage and relaxation
- 5 case studies and written homework should be completed before module 5.
Module 5 includes:
- Business and management procedure are taught and cover some aspects of starting up and running a successful clinic including the client/therapist relationship
- First Aid
- Exam, both practical and theory.
