What Is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) is an ancient and comprehensive system of exercise, breathing techniques, postures and meditation designed to elevate your consciousness and kindle an awareness of the divine.

You can be healthier and enjoy greater strength and flexibility. Kundalini yoga strengthens all your body systems and enables you to feel a zest for life throughout your life. It will increase your mental acuity, heighten your perception, bring clarity and the experience of a deep inner calm, increase your self-confidence and promote self-knowledge. Yoga literally means yoke or union: that of the finite self with the Infinite or divine consciousness.

During a class, a set (kriya) of exercises (repetitions of postures) are interspersed with periods of relaxation, breath work and meditation.
